A file's texts are proposals: one can be a riff's title, or just a label such as “Verse”. Untick split to keep a file as one phrase.

PinsPhrase Bar = Form Bar. RiffWise loops the written bars with the track. A heavy outline marks a bar whose chord differs from the file's.

A lick's file covers the lick, not the jam: its bar count, pickup and key signature say nothing about the jam, its chords are those bars only (a hint for picking the jam's form by ear), and its tempo may be a practice tempo. The jam's tempo is checked against the recording in Sync Studio.
